Join a Park Ranger and Maine Forester on a guided family-friendly hike, or paddle at some of the best locations in Maine to view autumn foliage. Meeting Location: Center Hill Picnic Area parking lot. (2 miles up the Center Hill Rd from the center of Weld.)
Description: This is a short and easy ½-mile hike along the Center Hill nature trail. Several vantage points to take in nature’s fall display. Some time will be spent exploring side trails off the main route. Easily accessible by all ages. This hike will take approximately 1 hour. Held rain or shine unless conditions are treacherous.

– Located in Northern, this Maine bears the distinct honor of being Maine's first state park.

Skill Level- Moderate, 3 hour, 3 miles
Meeting location will be at the day use parking lot. Sturdy foot wear, cameras, binoculars, snacks and water is recommended.
This 3 mile fall hike will allow the participants to enjoy fall in Northern Maine. The rugged but rewarding hike will take you up Quaggy Jo Mountain where the views will offer a very unique look at the forest and agricultural lands of Aroostook County.

Androscoggin Riverlands State Park - Paddle -September 30View Flyer & photos
Located in Central Maine just north of Lewiston/Auburn in Turner

Skill Level: Experienced paddlers, 4 hours, 8 miles
Meeting Location: Turner Boat Launch off Center Bridge Road in Turner.
Description: This paddle over smooth and easy waters provides great views o f the Turner section of the park and opportunities to photograph the reflected brilliance of fall colors. Our lunch destination is an island in the mouth of the big bay at Bradford Brook, which provides a shallow sandy beach to pull up our boats and stretch our legs. We’ll relax at the naturally-formed amphitheatre to picnic while taking in river and bay views, and a fall foliage talk. Co-sponsored by the Androscoggin Land Trust . The return paddle follows the same route ending at the Turner Boat launch. NOTE: Paddlers will need to bring their own boats, life vests, gear, water, lunch and snacks. Held rain or shine unless conditions are treacherous.

Description: The view from the top of Mt. Battie is widely considered one of the most picturesque views along the Atlantic Seaboard. Learn about Maine's forests on this unique 2.5 mile hike to one of the most stunning views on Maine's coast. This hike will take approximately 2.5 hours. NOTE: Hikers should wear sturdy footwear, with enclosed toes, and comfortable clothing, preferably in layers. We recommend you bring Cameras, binoculars, snacks and water.
